I have always loved an author writing about his/her writing. There are many times, during the course of reading a book, that I ask myself questions. What moved the author to define the characters this way? Why did they behave like this or like that? Most times these questions go unanswered. But with books like this one, i found out everything I wanted to know about Brokeback Mountain.

This is one of my favorite movies of all times, and I loved this little book. Everyone involved in the process, from Annie Proulx to the screenwriters Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana, have something to say. Besides, this contains both the short story and the adapted screenplay. It is easy to see why McMurtry and Ossana won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, because they did a terrific job.

I recommend this book to everyone, whether you've seen the movie or not.
