James Michener was an internationally acclaimed novelist who died in 1997 -- at age 90 -- with more than 40 titles to his name. In the spring of 2003, I plan to leave his books in and around the the James A. Michener Art Museum, located in his beautiful hometown, Doylestown, Pennsylvania. To learn more about the writer and the museum, click here and visit the Michener Museum's Web site.
I can't believe it! Hootnoodle sent another box of books to add to the Mega-Michener release. What an incredibly generous gesture! Thanks for everything, hootnoodle! I hope this book finds many happy new readers.

Picked up Michener's SPACE on July 12th at the Michener Museum in Doylestown, PA. on the park bench. (Thanks Annulla!). Took it with me to Hawaii on vacation hoping to finish it and leave it on the island of Kauai. Unfortunately, my daughter contracted Meningitis on the trip. One spinal tap and a few days in the hospital later our vacation resumed. I got a lot of reading done while nursing my daughter back to health but I didn't finish the book until I was on the plane ride home. So now the book is sitting by my bed back in Philly while I plot it's next move. I travel some cool international places for work so I think I'll hold it a little longer and set it free at some exotic overseas port.
