verse by verse. For those who do not have the time or the interest in joining
a biblical study group, The Jerome Biblical Commentary provides an excellent
resource for self study. For example, the commentary dealing with the Gospel
of John discusses Jesus as the Logos or Creative Word through whom the God
the Father brought creation into existence. Perhaps here the translation
Creative Word could also be denominated Creative Form in a Platonic sense?
In any event, this is just one nugget of scripture which through which one can
plumb the depths of the inspiration of the holy spirit. A very important book
for any thinking Catholic.
