In "Quantum Reality" Nick Herbert discusses the cutting edge area of science
called "quantum physics." Quantum Physics started with the work of physicist
Bohr and Heisenberg in the early part of the 20the century. Their work tended
to show that at a subatomic level reality is composed of interlocking "quantum
fields" which taken together can be described as the "quantum ocean." Modern
computers and television sets all use technology which is based upon quantum
physics or as it is sometimes called, quantum mechanics. Herbert describes,
for example Bell's Interconnectedness Theory, which postulates if not proves the
possibility of the transfer of non-local information between points at a distance
at a speed which is nearly instantaneous. Quantum Physics also postulates
"parallel universe" theory which suggests that our universe is multidimensional
one and that perhaps there is a scientific explanation for the fact that some
persons have wisdom beyond their years--perhaps their "intuition" has preconsious
access multidimensionally to other parallel universes where they can obtain
information and gain practical experience with any fully conscious experience
of these events. Quantum Physics is the cutting edge, and Nick Herbert is one
of those pioneers who is "pushing the envelope." This book is a must read for
those who wish to lead their lives in accordance with the insights of modern
science.
