Some unknown person left this on my desk at work. I do like Nora Roberts, but get bored after a bit...so I haven't read any in a while -- However, this trilogy sounds entertaining, so, this is going on Mt. TBR!!

Although Nora Roberts books are romance, and this is no exception...with a sprinkling of sex thrown in, it is also a Horror novel. About a town where strange happenings (including murder and general craziness of all sorts) happen every 7 years in July, only a few people in town even remember what happened during that week, and it seems those three boys are the reason it happens to begin with, in a round about way. Now it is 21 years later, and it is going to happen again, only this time it is for all the marbles. Good thing the boys have three hot gals to help them solve the mystery before it is too late.

There was some serious scary tense, almost King like, scenes thus far...and it is only March...what will happen in the next two books of the trilogy? time will tell.

Inside: It had been the Pagan Stone for hundreds of years, long before 3 boys stood around it and spilled their blood in a bond of brotherhood, unwittingly releasing a force bent on destruction. Every 7 years, there comes a week in July when the locals do unspeakable things -- and then don't seem to remember them. The collective madness has made itself known beyond the town borders and has given Hawkins Hollow the reputation of a village possessed.

This modern-day legend draws reporter and author Quinn Black to Hawkins Hollow with the hope of making the eerie happening the subject of her new book. It is only February, but Caleb Hawkins, descendant of the town founders, has already seen and felt the stirrings of evil. Though he can never forget the beginning of the terror in the woods 21 years ago, the signs have never been this strong before. Cal will need the help of his best friends, Fox and Gage, but surprisingly he must rely on Quinn as well. She, too, can see the evil that the locals cannot, somehow connecting her to the town -- and to Cal. As winter turns to spring, Cal and Quinn will shed their inhibitions, surrendering to a growing desire. They will form the cornerstone of a group of men and women bound by fate, passion, and the fight against what is to come from out of the darkness.
