Journal Entry 1 by Plum-crazy from Brighouse, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Sunday, June 15, 2008
Superintendent Mike Yeadings & his team are called to investigate the death of a young woman found in exotic evening dress - her face covered by a bird-featured mask.
She is Leila, an under-valued wife & stepmother who had lived in enviable comfort & this makes her death seem totally alien to those who knew her.
Can Yeadings piece together the fragments of Leila's life to throw some light onto her death?
But still waters run deep & Leila was not as shy & retiring as she appeared...
(ex-library book)

This kept me guessing throughout and was well put together. An enjoyable mystery, but I'm not sure I'll search out more of the Thames Valley books.
