A friend's mother gave this to my mother, who read it and gave it to me.
"Do you know the feeling when you start reading a new book before the membrane of the last one has had time to close behind you? You leave the previous book with ideas and themes--characters even--caught in the fibers of your clothes, and when you open the new book, they are still with you."
These two sentences from "The Thirteenth Tale" sum up exactly how I feel when I have been fully immersed in a good story. I finished this one late last night, and when I finally went to sleep, the characters and settings followed me into my dreams. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and all the stories within the stories--what a great way to begin the year!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I'm releasing this most excellent read to one of my blog readers, J-Momma, during an experimental BookCrossing giveaway. She is also a parent, and we'll see if she can find the time to actually read this. It's a favorite around BookCrossing, J-Moms :-) Hope you like it!
Please write a bit on what you thought of the book, or if you are going to leave it somewhere, where you are going to release it, or who you are giving it to when you are finished with it :-) Doesn't have to be a long essay.
