I read this in a night - haven't seen the film yet but if it is as good as the book, I'll be queuing for the video... the links between the three women are exquisitely crafted without a heavy hand - I love it when writers trust to their readers to gather the hints and subtleties...

Was given this book by a fellow bookcrosser. Had an e-mail request from a bookcrosser, to pass it on when I've finished it, so will send it on to SemioticGhost in London.
Wasn't bowled over by it I'm afraid. Maybe if I was more familiar with "Mrs Dalloway" it might have meant more to me. It was a quick light read & enjoyable, but averagely so.

Just received this from Thelxepeia and am looking forward to reading it. Thanks a lot!
I'm waiting on a copy of Mrs. Dalloway, which I want to read first - I'm quite happy to pass both on together, if somebody else is interested in doing the same thing.

An enjoyable read, gracefully embracing three parallel narratives. 'Tense, tender and without strain' captures the style well. While the characters clearly reloate to Mrs. Dalloway in one form or the other, this novel stands on its own without difficulty.

Shortly to be passed on to Tigger79, possibly via someone else.

Release planned for Friday, June 27, 2003 at Given to a friend in Colchester, England United Kingdom.

To be given to Tigger79 tonight, so she can read it after Mrs.Dalloway!

Received from Semiotic Ghost on Friday night. I'm reading this book simultaneously with Mrs Dalloway and it's interesting to compare them. Finding the Hours a bit easier to be honest ;-).

Great book, really enjoyed it - and fairly easy to read. Planning to leave the book somewhere to see if it is found.
