One of my favorite books of all time, bought it used from Book Treasures Used Bookstore, when I lived in Orlando. Took me exactly one year to finish the first time through...took many long breaks from it and just enjoyed it very leisurely. The movie holds no flame to the book, and completely ignores one of my favorite characters, Jed.
