I can't believe that I found this book, which was on my wishlist, in the wild, on the Book Crossing shelf at Barcelona airport last night!! I felt like a criminal as I zapped it. It was my lucky night! Made up for the delay of 1.5 hours to the plane.
Only downside is that it's not BC registered already, but I guess that's a minor detail.

Light reading that still manages to make you think about philosophy and stuff. I love these books & really find them uunputdownable.
I've found another reason I hate my pet-hate of the first chapter of the next book at the end of this one : when you start reading the next book, you think you've already read it. And then you have to read the blurb on the back of all the books to remember where you are in the series, and so you know what happens in the next one, which spoils this one....
But anyway, this doesn't take way the overall pleasure of this series.

Nice blurb inside this little gem: "Delightful... McCall Smith is a writer who celebrates kindness, in short supply in the world today". I couldn't agree more. That is why I enjoy his books so much.It is comforting to know they are this popular.
I just love Isabel Dalhousie, and the voice McCall Smith gives her. I was aauming there would be a murder involved, but none of that. On the contrary, I might say.
