I found this in The Wigan Oak Hotel in Wigan. I was attracted because I am interested in the Mayan predictions re. the end of the world as we know it in 2012. The amount of actual Mayan theory was sufficient to drive an exciting plot but not much more. The novel was reasonable and I liked the tying together of several stories from across the ages to culminate at the end. If you are seriously interested in the Mayan angle the best book to find is The Mayan Prophesies which is out of print but well worth searching for.
I released the book in Bangor Northern Ireland while on a business trip two weeks later (26.11.10).
