I found this book fascinating but difficult to understand. Reason: lots of French and Oc words & phrases are used throughout, and unless you know French language or the Oc language, you sometimes don't have a clue. I am still confused by what the author is trying to say that the "grail" is. Is it a chalice from which Jesus drank at the Last Supper", or is it something else. If I understood the book correctly, the "grail" was simply a history of family genealogy passed down over three or four thousand years and that the genealogy MAY have contained Jesus' family tree too. The continual shifting back and forth between present day and the 1200's also made the book difficult to read. Still, it is a worthwhile read.
