Maisie is on another dangerously intriguing adventure in London between the wars. It is the Spring of 1930 and Maisie has been hired to find a runaway heiress. When three of the heiress's old friends are found dead, Maisie must race to find out who would want to kill these seemingly respectable young women before it's too late. As Maisie investigates, she discovers that the answers lie in the unforgettable agony of the Great War.

Read this on a recent holiday and enjoyed it very much. Maisie is a convincing sleuth and comes over as something of a psychic too and finally there is a hint of a possible love interest for lonely Maisie. Will it be the Inspector or the Doctor. I'll definitely have to read more in the series to find out.

My Mum found this book in a cafe, read it and then passed it on to me. I have read it now too and really enjoyed it - a good fun book and not heavy going, ideal for pre-bedtime or holiday reading! I'd like to read more of the series by Winspear in the future. The question is, what do I do with the book now? Ruth
