I think this is a beautiful graphic novel. Set in the same world as Kishiro's Battle Angel Alita series, Ashen Victor is drawn with heavy, bold shadows. Gone is the delicate linework of Alita; in Ashen Victor the white space tells as much of the story as the black lines. Story's good, characters are well-fleshed in their world of cyborg-metal. Kishiro is a real master of his cyberpunk world.
