The sequel to Bridget Jones' Diary, the book that pretty much began the chick-lit genre.

I never tire of the Bridget Jones books myself. I re-read them regularly, since I love the humour, the story and the characters. I empathise with Bridget in so many ways (I wish she were my friend, really), I'm half in love with Mark Darcy and I feel sad each time I read the book and their relationship gets into trouble because of some silly misunderstandings. And happy each time the misunderstandings are resolved.

Another thing I really like is the Jane Austen references, here present in the scene where Mark Darcy's writing a letter to Bridget to express his feelings, which parallels the ending of Austen's Persuasion.

All in all this is really a great light read.

I bought this book at a flea market in order to release it; I have a copy in my Personal Collection of course, but there is no way I'm letting that one go!

I hope this book will find new readers that enjoy it as much as I do.
