I've only recently started reading horror novels, and this one came highly recommended by a friend and horror aficionado. The book was a 2007 nominee for the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. The Bram Stoker Award, named after the author of DRACULA, is given out annually by the Horror Writers Association to acknowledge the best in horror writing.
