This is the extrodinary life of an ordinary man. It is the story of Albert Facey, who lived with simple honesty, compassion and courage. An orphan who started work at the age of 8 on the rough west Australian frontier, he struggled as an itinerant rural worker and survived the gore of Gallipoli, the loss of his farm in the Depression, the death of his son in World War 2 and that of his beloved wife after sixty devoted years.

I was held spellbound by this simple recounting of Bert Facesy's fascinating life. What hard times he lived through! I hope there is another Audio box passing by so that I can share this with somebody else.

Thanks for the audiobook RABCK, Sterile! This sounds like it will be a very interesting story.
This was a very interesting story! What a fascinating, full life lived with gusto and very little fear. I love his philosophy that he thought he could do anything he set his mind to; he tried it, and if he couldn't do it, he tried something else. It's quite an inspiring story. I'm very glad it made its way to me!
