Picked up at the Friends of the Libary Sale to add variety to my shelf and because this is a well known author and series, even to those of us who do not read mystery/thrillers.

It is listed on a 3 other book trading sites so first some first served.

I received the book through paperbackswap.com. I haven't read it yet but the condition of the book is not great. Booknhand was not someone I would request a book from again as he/she said she would mail the book withing 2 days of 3/14 but in fact did not mail it until 4/6. I hope he/she is ashamed.

Yes... this book was sent late through PBS. According to the PBS system I said I mailed it on 3/21 and I didn't actually mail it until 4/6 due to a family emergency that caused me to be out of town without internet access.

I had a hospitalized family member which probably will never be able to live at home again! Needless to say all my social activities
(including mailing books that were marked mailed or released) got put on hold while the family searched for the right decision and long term facility for this person - a very emotional situation and time.

As for the condition of the book that is a drawback of PBS, there is no way to list condition of the book. The book met the posting guidelines set by PBS and was posted on other trading sites (which allowed condition notes) as fair condition. This requester did not have condition notes in the request so I had no way of knowing he/she didn't want fair condition books.

As for being "ashamed", NO I AM NOT! Sometimes circumstance take precedence and if anything I am annoyed and angry that the receiver of this book felt the need to scold me in a public post without finding out the whys behind the events.

Since this person won't request books from me again, I guess it is a mute point to hope that future interactions will be more positive.

I do not post here to bad mouth the other person, just to acknowledge the lateness of the mailing and explain the reason for it.

I sincerely hope the receiver enjoys this book as that is the intent of my participation in BC and other book trading clubs.
