An absolutely brilliant book. Telling the story of a small Hampshire town and the changes which go on when the second world war starts. Over a fifty year span many chnages take place. New friendships are built , new loves and new aspirations. For rich and very spoilt daddy's girl Eve and salt-of-the-earth Dolly who already knows the hardship war can bring from her experiences of WW1. This book is brilliant , I hope you think the same.
