This is a book in the good tradition of Latin-American authors like Isabel Allende or Jorge Amado, where dreams and narration and story telling are woven into a colourful carpet of the live of the protagonists. I enjoyed it very much and regretted having it finished.
This book is now back on the 1001 library bookshelf and can be borrowed by PMing KaKo27:)

Released to a fellow 1001-library member, enjoy!
I received the book today, thanks a lot bookstogive :) I simply can't wait to enter Tita's kitchen! As I just arrived from work and I'm pretty hungry, both physically and spiritually, I'm sure this delicious book will be on the road again in no time!
This was a lot more than I expected :) I was dragged in Tita's story and couldn't help finishing the book in less than two days. Recipes for both cuisine and life were fun but also profound. Characters were easy to bound with. I'd have rather seen Tita with the other guy in the end (no spoilers here!) and I found it curious when people were all of the sudden exiting the picture, but I really enjoyed the story and wanted it to go on for more months :)
I'll probably use this for the Euro-1001-VBB exchange in July (see http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/20/457583 ), otherwise it'll be available again via the 1001-library from mid-July.
Thanks again to svoight aka bookstogive for sharing this with me and for all her activity with the 1001-library. Happy reading everyone!
