"Identical twins Georgia and Bessi live in the loft of 26 Waifer Avenue. It is a place of beanbags, nectarines and secrets, and visitors must always knock before entering. Down below there is not such harmony. Their Nigerian mother puts cayenne pepper on her Yorkshire pudding and has mysterious ways of dealing with homesickness, their father angrily roams the streets of Neasden, prey to the demons of his Derbyshioe upbringing... It is when reality comes knocking that the fantasies of childhood start to give away. How will Georgia and Bessi cope in a world of separateness and solitude, and which of them will be stronger?"

I pick up this book in a bookstore in Prague as I was just working on my theatre-projects on twins. I found this book very good in many ways, inspirational as well, but I am not sure if I will read it again. That´s why I am offering it as a book-ring, and after the tour I´ll see...

I already started to read this book earlier, but put it aside for some reason.
Now, I've restarted from my bookmark, and soon discovered that the family was watching the wedding of Diana and Charles. The storytelling feels a bit funny because I remember watching that same wedding at around 10 years of age :)
So far, the tempo has felt a bit slow, but the reason may be that I have only read the book in shorter spots, and therefore not proceeded very fast... continuing still :)

I finally finished this book. I found the book pretty sad, and it left me a bit speechless. Mainly it seemed to concentrate on Georgia's views. Nigerian philosophy was strongly present, I think. Thank you for sharing this. It'll be soon back at home :)
