Annarosa assumed that medical science makes if possible for women to start a family in
their late 30s and early 40s. She discovers that having a baby 'on the dark side of 35' is far
more gruelling than she imagined. She and her husband have to deal with grief and anger
to acceptance.

Quite a few of my friends have endured the IVF process to have their beautiful children. Whilst I know what the general process is I thought this might give me a more detailed view. It did but unfortunately I found a lot of it quite tedious. While I sympathise with Berman's plight I found it difficult to actually like her which was a shame. An otherwise interesting read.
