WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
I found this book on a chair at the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris. I had been kidnapped by my best friends to share a pic nic in the garden to celebrate my upcoming wedding!
I kept the book to maybe read it after the wedding as we were so busy, I did not have a minute to read a book. Also I was planning to read it in the plane to Thailande! it is where we are travelling to for our honeymoon.
This book will therefore travel from Paris to Bangkok! I may leave it there or maybe in Samui!
we will see:)

I found the book on my first visit to the Art House Cafe in Bedford Place , Southampton. I read it twice, once quickly on my own and then aloud to my husband, who is totally blind. The slower pace of reading aloud seemed to suit the rather sedate style of the writer's story and made the underlying subtle humour even more enjoyable. We liked the original flavour provided by the sterling character of the very earnest English butler and the way that both some political history and a gentle if unrequited love interest were woven into the tale.
I spent a week in Paris recently and decided to deposit the book (well protected by a plastic cover and with a notice in French and English explaining why I was leaving it on a bench in the Luxembourg gardens. 2 days later the book was no longer there. I hope someone will be reading it now!
