This isn't the sort of book I would normally pick up, especially as the title gives the impression that it's a chick-lit type book. Instead, it is an intense psycological thriller.
Tess needs help. The man that she married, a handsome, respected cop, is a serial killer. She turned on him once to protect herself and her child, and the police put him away. But now he has escaped and is coming after her. So she turns to professional assassin JT, who has problems of his own - an abusive, dying father, a sister in denial and full of hate, almost an alcoholic and dead wife and child. Together they must fight a clever, methodical killer who will stop at nothing to finiah his message and reclaim his dominion of his wife.
This was fast-paced, bloody and gruesome, but an excellent story. It is strangely familiar and I'm not sure if there is a TV programme or film of the novel out there that I might have seen. Hope you enjoy the read too.
