Atwood is one my favorite novelists. This particular story is quiet and dark, but as usual, Atwood's keen observation of human relationships astounds me. If you like this book, you'll love her novel The Robber Bride, and be sure to try Bodily Harm. The good news about discovering this author is that she is quite prolific! Besides, how many Canadian novelists can you name off the top of your head? She is an excellent start.
