I know Jane Smiley is a Pulitzer Prize winner, but, frankly, I have never warmed up to her - for me, way too wordy and slow moving. And, in my dotting old age, I can't remember who gave it to me! However, I plan to either drop it at the local library here in CA, where I am visiting, or another suitable placre.
