There was a lovely gothic feel to this book, and while I was interested in the characters, there were few I actually liked. I wasn't expecting the twist at the end. I enjoyed being immersed in this story and it lingered in my mind for a few days afterward. I highly reccomend it.

I agree with house-elf about the gothic feel to this book. It was quite a page-turner......I had a difficult time putting the book down. Great writing style! Thanks for the opportunity house elf! Ah, TinkEsq, you are in for a treat! Pming you for your address.

Arrived today. (Thanks for the postcard, spuddossis!) Just finishing another book, so I'll start it this weekend.
6.23.08 - This wasn't as enjoyable a story as I had hoped. Maybe I was just looking forward to reading it too much. But it is an interesting tale and has a couple of good twists. Very old school gothic style.

Journal Entry 7 by rhythmbiscuit from Northglenn, Colorado USA on Wednesday, July 30, 2008

I enjoyed this book quite a bit, found it hard to put down especially in the second half. I liked the story telling aspect of it and all the twists and mystery. I have an address for msmoyra I will be sending out to her on Monday. Thanks so much for sharing the book on this ring house-elf!

Journal Entry 14 by Bluestocking88 from -- Wild released somewhere in the state, Washington USA on Tuesday, December 2, 2008
This was waiting for me in my return-from-vacation stack of mail. It was a delightful find in a pile of catalogs and junk mail. I am looking forward to starting it.

House-elf, I'll mail this internationally--I've never posted anything to South Africa--that sounds like something new and different I'd be willing to try.

Journal Entry 15 by Bluestocking88 from -- Wild released somewhere in the state, Washington USA on Thursday, January 8, 2009
This was a deliciously wonderful story. I really enjoyed the mix of sleuthing and story telling as Margaret tries to put together the true story of the past. Knowing nothing about the bonds between twins, some of the key elements were weak, but all in all an excellent read with a few good twists. Thank you for sharing.

I will mail this along as soon as I hear where it is to go next.

I am becoming a co-reader with Mr. Baggins who has kindly given me The 13th tale to read in the next 2 weeks before he will read it and send it on its way. I am looking forward to the book as the first few pages seem to be very promising.

13th Tale is a good read, but not a "wow' read. More a period than a gothic novel imo. Thanks for sharing. Will contact house-elf to find out where it needs to go next.

I kept on reading this book, because I needed to know what will happen, but I must admit that I got impatient while reading and had a sneek preview of later pages.
I didn't really like the characters, so that spoiled it for me.
Will send it on asap.

Journal Entry 29 by MarcThomas from Paris, Ile-de-France France on Friday, October 2, 2009
I really enjoyed the book from the start to the end. It's a real mystery that's being unfolded and the story is really well handled throughout the book. A very good read.

PMing house-elf so the book comes back home. Thanks for sharing!
