Wow! Why haven't I read any of these books before! I couldn't put them down, literally. My boyfriend got really frusterated because I would walk around the house, trying to accomplish things like chopping vegetables while reading (be careful with knives...your fingers are not carrots.). At any rate, I throughly enjoyed them. I though that the characters were very well written and that the book covered all the bits about who they were and what they're becoming so that you weren't sitting there at parts going "What's happening? Why did she do that?". And I liked that it was set in a female dominated society.

An enjoyable book.

I have been reading this over the last few weeks and have been totally drawn into the plot and storyline.

It took me an age to read compared to my other books, but I wanted to slowly read this one - I didn't want it to end.

I'm intrigued about the rest of the plot now. I'm looking forward to starting the second book later on.

I have a friend who really enjoyed the David Eddings books (Elenium) I released to him so I think I will pass this book onto him. I'll also pass the second book in the series on as well once I've read it.

Wow and double wow. A genuine wild catch from the Cancer research shop in Alvaston Derby. I didn't even realise it was a BC book until the counter lady looked inside it for the price (50p). Even more surprising 'cause last year they were chucking books into their skip with labels on. Many are now on the bookshelves of cartref and myself, travelling the world far and wide.
What a great find for a fantasy loving BCer. On mount tbr it goes, maybe to be read within the next year or so.
