Story is a family saga about a young man dying of AIDS and the three most important women relatives in his life. Too soap opera-ish for me. I lost interest in it and never finished it. The book ended up in a pile of books consigned to a closet. Found it while packing during my move.

This was made into an American TV movie with Angela Lansbury as the mom a while back. Never saw it though.
