Due to a misunderstanding in our street, this book stayed with our neighbours for some time. I am glad it finally arrived at my doorstep! I will read it right away.
Thank you for sending it to me!
Thank you for sending it to me!
This took some time for me to get into, and after that, to journal. That doesn't change the fact that it is by far the best book of the 73 I read in 2008.It was so rich, there were so many angles, I got a look into this man's soul, his doubts, his efforts to reach zen state of mind, the connection to his family and recently deceased ex-wife, the amazing landscape of the Himalaya's, the life and culture of the different people living there, the study of the Bharal sheep and the sighting (or not) of the elusive Snow leopard. The language is wonderful. The wisdom is like a balm. I will read this book again, I want to keep it, not let it go anymore. Thank you so much for sending it to me!
