I thought this was a very good read and very frightening in how real it could be.

Mount Dragon: an enigmatic research complex hidden in the vast desert of New Mexico. Guy Carson and Susana Cabeza de Vaca have come to Mount Dragon to work shoulder to shoulder with some of the greatest scientific minds on the planet. Led by visionary genius Brent Scopes, their secret goal is a medical breakthrough that promises to bring incalculable benefits to the human race. But while Scopes believes he is leading the way to a new world order, he may in fact be opening the door to mass human extinction. And when Guy and Susana attempt to stop him they find themselves locked in a frightening battle with Scopes, his henchmen, and the apocalyptic nightmare that science has unleashed.

This book is a great tale of deceit and intrigue concerning biological engineering. A tiny vial of virus that can wipe out the human race if mishandled? The setting for the tale is in the desert of New Mexico on the edge of white sands missle range. The secure site is rife with problems from all the technicians and workers that support the secret remote laboratories where genetic engineering is in full swing. The descriptions of the desert scape are good and the story line is interesting. I was reluctant to read this book at first, but really got into it after about 25 pages.

The details make up the real story and it is well written. Great airplane book because you can get into the story time after time with only a few words. The world of micro-biology is pretty scary and becomes more so as the story unfolds.
