Ahh, who could resist the lovely felonious eyes of Winona gazing out at you? But seriously, looks like an interesting book: "In 1967, after a session with a psychiatrist she'd never seen before, 18 year old Susanna Kaysen was put in a taxi and sent to McLean Hospital...most of the next 2 years on the ward for teenage girls in a psychiatric hospital as renowned for its famous clientele - Sylvia Plath, Robert Lowell, James Taylor, Ray Charles - as for its progressive methods of treating those who could afford its sanctuary."
Will be available for trade/release after I read.

I really liked this book. I think the cover calls it, "darkly comic", which I think is apt - her writing is fluid and thought-provoking, and in spite of the subject matter, not particularly depressing. One passage that will stay with me is early on, when she talks about how people ask her "how it happened" - how she came to be in an institution; and she feels that really, what they want to know, is could it happen to them. . .
