What an enjoyable read. You couldnt help but find yourself pulling for Cannie and her dog Nifkin. THis is going to Leester next. Dont want to say anything more because I want her to enjoy the book "fresh" like I did. I will be hunting for her next book for sure.

Just passing this along to Leester for poohbear3. I understand one of her sisters wants it next...and then maybe I can be third in line?

Awesome! So looking forward to reading this one. Thanks PoohBear3! Sorry you couldn't make it to tonight's Meetup, but MAYBE I will see you Saturday!
Will journal again once I've read it, then pass it along to cestmoi, or my sister, whichever one clamors loudest! I promised to pass it on to woodsroy, as well!
Sounds to me like the beginnings of a book ring/ray.

Gave this to my sister today. Once she's done, cestmoi and I will have a go before sending it to woodsroy, who's in no rush!

Being a full figured woman, I enjoyed getting to know Cannie and all her friends (who are mostly skinny!) I found it a little annoying that she went on and on about Bruce; get over him already. And when she did her life was opened to all sorts of great things. I love a happy ending! Thank you Lee for lending me this book. I will return it when I see you next (in July).

I didn't enjoy this, it seems, as much as poohbear3 or my sister. I was a bit put off by her pining for Bruce, the "episode" with Bruce after his father's funeral, and with the fall in the bathroom .... I don't know, I just couldn't relate to this woman very much and as such, did not have very much empathy for her. It was an okay read, for me.

One part of it I did like very much was her time in California. Maybe it is because I was there recently and love that part of the world, and also the fantasy aspect of hanging out with movie stars appealed to me. (In my mind, the movie star she talked to at the party was Brad Pitt!)

Glad I read it, neat-o story, but not one that will stick in my mind, I think.
I'll be bringing this for cestmoi next time we meet.

This was passed on to me by a friend. I've been working long hours at work, so this "brain candy" is quite welcome!
