A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain: Stories

Winner of the 1993 Pulitzer Prize. I found this to be a strong and beautiful short story collection of 15. Each story is told in the first person narrative, from the point of view of Vietnamese expatriates now living in the United States. The stories are sometimes haunting, sometimes funny, always deeply moving tales of people struggling to find a balance between tradition and assimilation. Highly recommended!
Thanks so much, libby2, for sending this book of short stories and the unusual bookmark. I'll journal when I finish reading it.
