The Wine of Angels (Merrily Watkins Mysteries)
2 journalers for this copy...
An unusual mystery that takes in murder, the paranormal and the ultimate quaint English village. Pace is quite slow at first but there are a number of characters to develop and this is done in clear detail.
An interesting premise of a female vicar faced with hostility and possible witchcraft as well as long-standing history in an old village.
I couldn't put it down once I was half way through and the pace certainly began to hurtle as the end approached. Well written and full of great characters - I was pleased to find that this is the first in a series! (Anyone familiar with the UK comedy The Vicar of Dibley may find that they have trouble not thinking about Dibley when they start reading)
