Excellent collection of short stories. I don't normally care for short stories and I never would have picked this book up if my book club didn't pick it, but I'm really glad I read it! My book club is discussing this book on 3/30, so if anyone wants to trade - I can send it out after the 30th.

Journal Entry 3 by WestofMars from Mars, Pennsylvania USA on Monday, June 2, 2003
Just received this in the mail today and will pass it along to my friend either tomorrow (via our husbands) or tonight, if she can't wait for it.

Can't thank you enough for the trade.

Journal Entry 4 by WestofMars from Mars, Pennsylvania USA on Friday, September 19, 2003
My friend no longer needs this for her book club and didn't like it enough to keep it or pass it along herself (she said the stories were too similar after awhile. Common problem in first collections), so it's back in my hands and up for trade or release into a book box.

Update 11-11-03: this was requested by another BookCrosser, so as soon as I get an address, this will be on its way to another good home.

Journal Entry 9 by wingDove-i-Libriwing from Cape Coral, Florida USA on Tuesday, April 6, 2004
I REALLY enjoyed the short stories in this book. I was disappointed that they WERE short stories. I wanted to know MORE about the characters and their lives. ANy of these stories would make a great starting point for a novel!

I am going to send an e-mail to the next person on the Book Ray (Matty H in NJ) to find out their mailing address, and then I will send the book along!

Journal Entry 10 by wingDove-i-Libriwing from Cape Coral, Florida USA on Monday, April 12, 2004

This may be a dead ray. I am so sorry to those readers who were still to come. Multiple e-mails to silentdormouse have gone unanswered. Too bad! This was going so well!!!

Journal Entry 14 by CaptainJack from Brunswick, Georgia USA on Sunday, December 19, 2004
redhouse has graciously offered to rejuvinate this bookray/ring. This means so much to me. Thank you, redhouse. Your generosity has gone a long way towards curing my bitterness over the bookcrosser who selfishly held on to this book, knowing others were waiting. You have restored my faith in BookCrossing, redhouse!

Here is the LINK to the book.

Each remaining reader will be contacted and offered the opportunity to participate. Thank you again, redhouse!

Journal Entry 15 by lostbookisland on Friday, October 21, 2005
This book has requested residence at the Lost Book Island to wait out the days until a new journal entry comes that will tell us the fate of the book. It is still a mystery if silentdormouse ever got the book that was mailed because the journal entry never came to confirm the receipt.

It is hoped that this book will find some rest and relaxation at the Lost Book Island Resort as it waits for the day that a new journal entry comes to tell us that this book has been accounted for.

Thankfully this bookray has already been revived so that others may enjoy the story Those journal entries can be accessed through the above link.
