This is so different from Curious Incident but a thoroughly enjoyable read about a dysfunctional family life in Peterborough! George catches his wife in bed with the neighbour and rather than confront them with the knowledge he suffers a mini breakdown. The rather abrasive daughter is getting married to somebody that nobody approves of but the fiancé does prove himself to be solid as a rock where it matters most and the son Jamie is reluctant to invite his gay lover to the nuptials! Quite a fun read really!

Definately different to 'Curious incident...' . I hesitate to say not as good, because the writing is funny and tragic in parts, but somehow there was a bit too much of it all and I felt that the characters ought to be allowed to show some of the sadness of their lives without the tragi-comic commentary.
