WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
I really enjoyed the first 60 or 70 pages of this but then it suddenly turned all VC-Andrews-weird on me and I lost interest.
I am going to send this to Lemonitsa, winner of my December Fill-My-Map RABCK. Since it is a brand-newly released book, I hope she hasn't read it yet...and will enjoy it! :)
Thanks for helping me put Quebec on my map! I have been doing some genealogy research lately and it looks as if Quebec may be the place my ancesters lived before they came to the US in the early 1900's!! :) So, that coupled with the fact that I love all things Canadian (including Stargate, Michael Shanks, and the word "zed"), this is an extra-special RABCK for me to send!
Happy Holidays Lemonitsa!!
4/23/2012 (Edited to add): I tried reading this book awhile back and put it aside as I just wasn't into it at the time. At the recommendation of a friend, I recently found another copy at Pendleton Book Company in Pendleton, Oregon, USA and decided to try it again.
I'm so glad I did! I love stories like this: old house, old mystery, young female "sleuth" with her own issues... :)
While I like what Setterfield did with the ending and solving the mystery of the "ghost", I didn't think it was super believable. It's definitely not UNBELIEVABLE...just not what I would have imagined. :) I thought this was well-written and very engaging. I'm looking forward to finding more from her.

A lovely package arrived for me today and it was full of wonderful things!
Thank you elizardbreath. :)
I have not read this book yet. I know only the title! It will be nice to see what I think of it when I start reading it.
Thanks also for the great tea. It is all perfect! And last but not least, the Oregon Trail postcard. I have a big pc collection, but this card is new for me, and it is pretty! Great message on the back, too! :)
I am glad to have been of help, Fill-My-Map was a super idea!

Intricate and interesting. I wasn't too thrilled with Charlie but it didn't matter in the end. Even though the ending was not to my satisfaction, I did enjoy the book as a whole and I liked the way the author told her story. (the book's author, and the author in the book!)

Off to LoriPed :)
Received in the mail today from Lemmy in Canada. So funny to see that it started its book journey in Oregon. I guess it missed the rain!
I have heard good things about this book, so I look forward to reading it.
