Hooray! I've just finished the book in time to mail it to Marsala.

Overall, I think that this was a great book. I've never read anything from Lisa Gardner and so I decided I'll give it a try. Gardner did a good job in both the characters and the plot development. She started off the book in a very good opening and there I was just completely hooked. In this book, Gardner presented to us characters that are down-to-earth and a plot that keeps you turning the pages. As you read the book, you'll get to know more and more about the characters and you can see how they just keep growing up in a time-span of a kidnapping which lasted for just less than seven days. The relationship between Quincy and Rainie, and the relationship between Quincy and Kimberly really touched me. Gardner, not wasting too many pages (grins), skilfully painted a picture of Quincy, Rainie and Kimberly. Every moment you read the book, you will be aching to find out more about the family. You started to care about the characters in the book. This book was really beautifully done.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good thriller and characters that are more human-like (well, most thrillers feature supermen and superwomen that are too good to be true, don't they?!)

This looks a great book and was a complete surprise to me - I think it was actually destined for Marsala who was next on the Virtual Book Box and had a book from me. I will send some PMs and check!

I think it must have been fate that sent this book to me in error. It was fantastic. The first Lisa Gardner I have read and I shall be certainly be looking out for more.

In the same league as Tess Gerritsen and Patricia Cornwell. A terrific, fast-paced thriller. I came nowhere near guessing who the culprit was.

I shall now send on to Marsala who kindly agreed to let me read this before forwarding - I couldn't resist!

I usually never pick up thrillers, not because I necesarrily dislike them, but just because there is always loads of books I'd rather read instead. So it's nice to come across one like this. I'll read it soon and let you know what I think.

Arrived today, thanks Marsala!
Sounds interesting enough, although it is not something I would probably pick myself. But since I have been pleasently surprised by a number of thrillers in the last time, I'll certainly give it a try:-)
