As always so kindly sent by IrishMolly from London. I had hoped to enjoy this on travels in December-January, but in the end it was delayed till May 2008. Another Harry Barnett story, although I thought somewhat shorter and less complex than a typical Goddard. It also seemed much less detailed than many. Harry finds he has a son, who is dying and this reveals a complex situation that emerges from his past... hardly unexpected in a Goddard mystery and of course Harry does have a strange past, despite seeming so down-and-out.
