From amazon:

From the bestselling author of The Nanny, comes this captivating new novel about a teacher who is idolized by her class, particularly ten-year-old Oscar. Oscar’s father is a frazzled single-parent workaholic who resents any interference from his son’s teacher.

Finished this one this afternoon. I got a little frustrated with this one, all the twists and turns and subterfuge did not easy reading make.

I had previously read The Nanny by Melissa Nathan and thought it was great.
As I was reading this book I thought it was quite good and read the author's bio at the front. I didn't realise that Melissa had passed away two months after writing this book in 2006 from breast cancer.
It made me appreciate the book further and the amount of work she must have put into it while sick (she was diagnosed three years prior).
I really identified with the main character's issues with juggling a career and having children - can women do both?
I'll take this to the next Brisbane BC meeting for others.
