Essentially, it is a transcript of a very long internet conversation. Surprisingly heartwarming though.

I loved the really early book-told-in-emails and they still hold a place in my heart for their attempts to embrace the new tech. This looks like it can stoke all those nostalgic memories. :)

Picked this up and seem not to have journalled it - sorry! Is in it's rightful place on the shelf!

Not really my cup of tea. Reading this supposed bulletin board just felt like voyeurism to me - but then it's not a communication channel I use myself - I like to know who I'm talking to online and wouldn't dream of exposing anything more personal than my opinions about books to people I've not met ;-)

Having said that it was a really interesting concept and redeemed itself in my eyes by the inclusion of pictures of moomins.

Going to release it at the next York Meetup.

Journal Entry 6 by TheGreenMan from York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Sunday, June 8, 2008
Picked up from the most recent BC Meetup in York - as a possible read for Haigha.

It turned out it wasn't her kind of thing, so I'm planning to take it back to a future York meet, to give it another go at finding a reader there...

I took the book from the York meetup two days ago and would like to release it at the Durham meetup this Saturday. I would not like to read a book in that style. Probably I am too old fashioned... Hope it will find a reader this weekend. I did like Moomin, though. Very nicely done.

Picked up at the Durham meet - 26th July. Passing through on my way to a week in Northumberland and only now catching up with journalling.

My daughter and I were both attracted to this as it looks quite different and worth a try.

I found the style and layout of this book difficult to get on with and was really struggling to keep up with who said what - perhaps it doesn't really matter. I couldn't really get on with it and had to give up. I hope someone else enjoys it more.

Arrived in my Asia box.

This is the story of a romance between a geek and a girl he meets on the train. Very nervous, his first real go at dating, he asks for help online from his friends. What we have here are the posts - with his messages, the advice and comments from his online friends and followers. There is also a lot of "message art" - making moomins out of punctuation for one!
I really enjoyed this.
