(my translation: I have never liked colouring books. Like little robots the children fill in the lines of princes with muscles and princesses with make-up among flowers.

The idea for this colouring book appeared one day when I found myself changing my daughters Cinderella book. The prince was blessed with a tail and Cinderella got a pair of extra eyes in her forehead. The conversation started there. My imagination went berserk and the pictures became the bridge into a world that wasn’t that stereotyped, not as defined.

Jesper Waldensten has created a unique colouring book in his special and funny design, where nothing is obvious and where imagination is let loose, far from traditional locked lines.

Jesper Waldensten is one of Sweden's absolutely most well renowned illustrators, with a lot of international awards. He's published published a lot in Dagens Nyheter and other papers. His book Tack för senast din jävel has sold more than 25 000 copies.)

Back to me! >>> The book is home again!
(45 pictures to paint)

Pick a picture and paint it. Write your name on the blank side to the left of your picture and feel free to write some more if you want! Have fun! Can't wait to see it when it comes back home!

Journal Entry 2 by wingDeepswampwing from Björkhagen, Stockholm Sweden on Wednesday, October 24, 2007
Now I just have to pick a picture and paint it! I think I already know wich one. What a nice idea!
It´s not a picture like this...

Journal Entry 3 by wingDeepswampwing from Björkhagen, Stockholm Sweden on Thursday, October 25, 2007
Instead of cleaning the house I´ve been painting!
Ohoj Gealach here it come!

Journal Entry 5 by Gealach from Nacka, Södermanland Sweden on Monday, October 29, 2007
Postade den till Annchen idag!

Journal Entry 6 by Annchen from Handen, Stockholm Sweden on Sunday, November 11, 2007
Fantastiskt!

Journal Entry 7 by Annchen from Handen, Stockholm Sweden on Tuesday, November 27, 2007

Journal Entry 8 by wingBAMPwing from Linköping, Östergötland Sweden on Monday, December 3, 2007

Journal Entry 9 by wingBAMPwing from Linköping, Östergötland Sweden on Thursday, December 6, 2007

Journal Entry 10 by turid from Västerhaninge, Södermanland Sweden on Tuesday, December 11, 2007

This was in my mailbox today - yay. :-) What a cool book!! Thanks for setting up this ring, Panzeranzi! I've looked through the book this evening trying to pick a picture, but it's so hard - there are so many great ones ... !! And even more fun was looking at the pictures already colored. :-) I'll have to save this for my Christmas vacation - it'll be the perfect pastime :-) - but hopefully the book will be on its way again before too long.

And I'll try to remember to take some pictures and post here. ;-)

Journal Entry 12 by wingLeishaCamdenwing from Alna bydel, Oslo fylke Norway on Saturday, January 26, 2008
I'm *finally* finished with this ... !! Shame on me for being so slow with this. I'm sorry, Panzeranzi!! I hope all these photos go some way towards making up for my dawdling. It took me a while to pick which picture to color - there are SO many cool pictures in this book. I finally decided though and actually colored it on December 30th ... it's just taken me forever to write my 'JE' on the facing page and to take these pictures. But now the book will be in the mail in an hour.

Thank you for your patience, Panzeranzi ... ! and thank you for letting me be part of this ring. :-)

Journal Entry 20 by LastEdition on Thursday, March 27, 2008
Oh, I have so looked forward to this ... I have colouring pens on the ready!

I will probably have a hard time selecting "my" picture .. but will have fun even doing that.

Thank you, Panzeranzi, for the great idea - BC is indeed a "roomy" place!

Journal Entry 21 by LastEdition on Saturday, April 5, 2008
What a wonderful idea and such fun!
I had a dvil of a time deciding what to colour - finally decided to make a somewhat forlorn "hunk" come to life.

Many thank yous to LC for taking the time and trouble with the pics - and I hope some later "artist" will have the same idea and possibility, so that we can see what have been chosen later on.

I have been unable to make contact with followdream (who is now in the US) so the "project" is now on its way to NMReader - enjoy!

Thank you Panzeranzi for this unusual BC-ring .. great idea!

Just opened the door to the postman because he couldn't get this book through the letterbox. I shall have fun with this over Christmas!

Journal Entry 34 by madmadge from Alderholt, Dorset United Kingdom on Monday, December 29, 2008
What fun! I spent a lovely evening just before Christmas with my colouring pencils. I'd forgotten just how much fun it is to use a colouring book. I chose the picture of a man sitting on an anteater and added a few embellishments. Will be PMing the next in line and posting it on its merry way as soon as I get an address.

Thank you Panzeranzi for taking me back to my childhood.

Journal Entry 38 by DitteL from Næstved, Storstrøms Amt Denmark on Tuesday, February 24, 2009
Arrived today.

I was fortunate enough to get my very own copy of this wonderful colouring book for Christmas, and it is really fun to see how other people have chosen to colour the different pictures - none of them look like how I've chosen to paint mine.

Journal Entry 39 by DitteL from Næstved, Storstrøms Amt Denmark on Thursday, March 5, 2009
I've had a lot of fun with this book. It's a perfect way to keep your body "active" while listening to audiobooks.

I'll post it to the next artist today.

Journal Entry 40 by auroradormita from Kirkkonummi, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Monday, March 16, 2009
I forgot to register this book until now even though we've had it maybe a week - sorry! One girl has drawn in it and the other two have started, so it'll hopefully be ready to mail soon!

Journal Entry 41 by auroradormita from Kirkkonummi, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Saturday, April 25, 2009
Well, I've had this book far longer than I should have, so it's time to send it on! The triplets each were allowed to do their own page, and then they told me what to write. Sometimes I had a hard time not to laugh at what they came up with, my favorite part is: "The girl pony and the boy pony, whose name is Happy, like each other. Now it's nighttime and the next morning they got a new born kid."

Journal Entry 42 by auroradormita from Kirkkonummi, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Journal Entry 44 by winghingraldwing from Motala, Östergötland Sweden on Tuesday, May 26, 2009

I just fell in love with this book. I ordered copies straight away - to have as gifts. It was difficult to pick what picture to colour. I ended up with a man with moustache. My son helped abit to color it too - you'll see what I mean. I have capricorn56's address and the book will be sent asap.

Journal Entry 47 by capricorn56 from Vittaryd, Småland Sweden on Tuesday, June 9, 2009
