I've had this book sitting on my shelf for a couple of years now. My mother had picked it up for me in a second hand book shop, and has been on at me to read it. But I wasn't sure I wanted to. I mean, wasn't it about hurting poor little dogs or something? I'm a dog-lover myself (my own terrier can attest to that!) and so didn't think that was the sort of thing I wanted to delve into. Still, when you're overseas you're limited to what you can read - especially if you're on a tight budget - and so when I saw a copy of the book in the flea market of a public library (in Haidmuehle, Germany), I thought, 'what the hell'.

Turns out my Mum was right (surprise, surprise)... this book is a must read. It is definately on my favourites list!

This book has been handed on to my brother to read. When he's finished with it, he's going to give it back to me, and I'll put the right labels on it (in English, and probably in Italian as well, given that I'm in Italy now), and release it...
