Wow, it took more than ten years to get around to reading this. Maybe I need a better way of working thru my books!

The joint universes/timelines of the Classic series and Next Gen are handled very well, with perfect respect. It leans heavily plot-wise on the side of Kirk. The Guardian of Forever gets a cameo in the framing sequence. Flint (from http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Requi...) also gets to push along the plot with his cameo, establishing that maybe he never meant to claim he was the muscian Brahms but someone else... a businessman perhaps from when business was still an art on Earth. Or maybe he liked to reuse names.

There are no cameos from Next Gen and, unlike the Classic end of things, we don't know exactly where in the series the novel takes place.

This is a Memorial Release For Teddy Sexton.

Teddy passed away July 24, 2012. Since then, I've given myself the job of spreading the books he left behind as if they were his ashes. Not all of the books I'm releasing during this time were his; but the bulk have been. I still have many, many of his books left to share.
