Talk about food for thought. Combining relevant modern ideas such as religious fundamentalism, global toxicity and feminist agendas to create a vision of the future which is vivid in it's bleakness. Fertile women are farmed out to elderly elite childless families and everyone falls under the watchful and vengeful gaze of the Government. Roles are prescribed and Civil Rites are non-existant and as with every good totalitarian regime, the women are veiled.
So many issues raised in this book that I simply don't know where to begin or how to digest them. My heathen brain almost aches trying to digest them all.

Found the book on 17th December on a table in Sadler's Wells Lillian Bayliss tearoom, Rosebery Avenue, London. Read it slowly, digesting every word. Clever, well written, satisfying yet distictly scary. It is all too easy to see how America could become this sort of totalitarian state. It will be re-released into the wild shortly. Thank you inkognitoh for the initial release.
