This book has been on my TBR shelf for a long time, but I finally got round to reading it.

One sign of good science fiction is that the stories are worth reading even when the science has gone totally out of date. Few writers would dare write about Martians and Venusians (although Heinlein uses the less common, but etymologically more sensible "Venerians") nowadays. Nonetheless, the story of the teenage girl going on the holiday of her lifetime and getting mixed up in politics is timeless.

In fact, the story is so timeless that some may ask why write it as SF at all? It does give Heinlein the opportunity to show off his worldbuilding in dealing with the journey, the emergency on board ship, and so on. Besides, I say, if it's a good story, why should it be barred from any setting?

PC for now, but I may well release it someday.
