Beauvallet

Heyer departs from her usual period to write a spy story set in the 1580s: England at war with Spain. A gripping story, although I'm not happy about some of the ethical issues that are raised (and then not dealt with).
This copy is a large print hardback. It's up for grabs: I'll send it within the UK for free if you have a genuine need for a large print book, but elsewhere I'll expect something in trade.
(I've just bought a more manageable hardback, with the (now quite rare) pull-out genealogy of the Beauvallet family)

I found this book by the refectory in Bretton Hall in summer 2004.
Not familiar with other books by this writer so draw any comparisons. Made for an entertaining light read. Fun use of language, no idea whether it was intentionally sending up a genre or whether it is just part of that genre.

I passed this book onto my friend Dan in York around Easter 2004.
