Wonderful book about living in Thailand. An excellent memoir of her time there. Loved this book! I'm all the more excited to be going there in less than 2 weeks!

Thanks, goaliegirl! Once read, I'll pass this on via BookCrossing.
While this was a good book and an in many ways an enticing look at Thailand, the author's preface weilded unnecessary criticism of the USA which was disrespectful and lacked examples of the positive aspects of the USA's culture; an odd viewpoint from an author who encourages cultural understanding and tolerance.
Despite some shortcomings, this book makes me seriously consider Thailand for my 2009 trip to the Asian continent, though my weak stomach will avoid the hot peppers - lol!

What a treat to find this book in the mail today. I am looking forward to reading it and "widening my horizons" as I don't know much about Thailand.
