Taken from the back cover:
"After nearly two years, Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is back, in a hilarious new Shopaholic novel.

Becky's life is blooming! She's working at London's newest fashion store The Look, house-hunting with husband Luke (her secret wish is a Shoe Room)... and she's pregnant! She couldn't be more overjoyed - especially since discovering that shopping cures morning sickness. Everything has got to be perfect for her baby: from the designer nursery, to the latest, coolest pram, to the celebrity, must-have obstetrician.
But when the celebrity obstetrician turns out to be Luke's glamorous, intellectual ex-girlfriend, Becky's perfect world starts to crumble. She's shopping for two... but are there three in her marriage?"

RELEASE NOTES:

i'm going to give this book to Luz-de-Luna in today's meet-up in the OBCZ in Thessaloniki. I chose this for her after suggesting a name for a friend's puppy in the greek forum. So in a way this is Tortilla's present for you.. I hope you'll enjoy reading this as much as all the previous Shopaholic books!

As soon as PepitaDarling got this book out of her bag, all I could say was "ohmygawd". LOL

This is unbelievable!! I had no idea the book was published, and of course I didn't see it coming...
It is a greatly cherished present, since it came from one of my favourite people in BookCrossing, and the timing is absolutely perfect! I'll read it lying on the beach during our honeymoon trip, in three weeks' time... :-D

A gentle kiss between Tortilla's fluffy little ears, and a big tight bear-hug to Pepita... Thank you both!!!

Well, I sure kept my word; I started reading it on the plane to Rhodes, and finished it on the plane back home. :-)
It kept me wonderful company while sunbathing on the beach! A very pleasant read.
(Is there going to be another Shopaholic book?? Something tells me that there is... At least the ending gave me that impression!)

Thanks again, Pepita! I was thrilled to see you at the wedding!! :-D

If only I could rate the book higher than "10"! How can you not love Becky?!
The pregnant Becky was just amazing, while Kinsella's writing was just superb! This was probably the best book of the saga so far (I may have said the same thing after each book), I was reading it while house-hunting in London and I really liked it every time Becky or Luke or anyone else was in a place I was familiar with and made me feel like I'm very close to the action.
The story is again complicated, full of shopping, London, crazy coincidences, excuses like no other, misunderstandings, Luke and, of course, the baby. Becky found new realms of shopping pleasure with the baby, a whole new market opened up and found out the joys of buying baby stuff, "investing" for the baby fund and learning how to be a new mother. All the classic characters were, again, amazing, Luke had a bigger part in the book and a crucial one, Danny made a huge difference in Becky's career and professional image, Suze is the best friend ever and Jess is becoming the sister Becky always dreamed of, even if she doesn't have much of a fashion sense.
The book is a classic Shopaholic, with all these new elements in it, like the marriage problems and the pregnancy. Becky now seems a bit more mature (only a bit though), dealing with issues like a new house, a career, a nursery for the baby and the marriage. I have to admit that the parts of the book with the problems in their marriage were heart breaking, especially some specific pages when Becky was really depressed. But on the other hand, I felt so relieved and happy when things worked out (with the usual crazy Becky Brandon way). The happy ending is so sweet, the natural order of things and faith to Becky is restored.
I wish/want/hope there will be another book, something like "Shopaholic and daughter". I believe Kinsella implies that there will be a next chapter in the story, we only have to wait for the day.
I, obviously, loved the book, it was simply amazing, crazy, a joy to read. Luz, thank you so so much for giving the chance to get to know Becky and read the whole book saga, :-)
